simfy names industry veteran, Kurt Redfield, as new CFO & COO

The music portal expands its board and welcomes Kurt Redfield to the rapidly growing company.

Cologne, Germany; September 6, 2011. simfy is announcing the appointment of industry veteran, Kurt Redfield, as CFO & COO. Mr. Redfield will be in charge of all financial operations and investor relations at the music portal and complements the existing management team.

Mr. Redfield brings nearly 20 years of international finance experience, most recently in the software and digital music space. In his prior position as CFO & COO of BridgeCo, a global provider of embedded software and ASIC technology that enables music streaming to radios and speakers in the home, Mr. Redfield presided over a 5x growth in the company following its expansion into the US and Asia in 2009, leading to its eventual sale to SMSC (NASDAQ: SMSC) in May of 2011.
