New simfy Pricing Model: 13 million songs for EUR 4.99

Music portal simfy is making streamed music in Germany even more attractive with a new introductory price. Music lovers can take advantage of the offer until October 15.

Cologne, Germany; September 15, 2011. Music streaming portal simfy has introduced "simfy Premium," a new introductory price for users of the popular simfy Player. For only EUR 4.99 per month, music fans can obtain unlimited, advertising-free access to more than 13 million songs via the desktop Player or on the Web site. simfy users can listen to an unlimited number of on-demand songs, play artist and genre radios, create playlists and favorites lists, and share their music recommendations with friends via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. The initial price of EUR 4.99 is available until October 15.

"We aim to further establish music streaming in Germany with this offer. For the first time, we are offering this new introductory price to really allow all music fans to try our service," explains simfy CEO Gerrit Schumann.

The new Premium package includes all key services offered to Premium users to date with the exception of access via mobile apps and offline mode. The advertising-supported version of the simfy Player remains available and includes a maximum of 20 hours of music per month. If their usage exceeds this amount, fans can select between the two Premium pricing plans.

The pricing model now called PremiumPLUS will also remain available. This plan additionally provides unlimited access to simfy's entire catalog using iPhones, iPads, and Android and BlackBerry smartphones. PremiumPLUS also allows users to save playlists locally and listen to them offline.
